Set in a sprawling city plagued by an enigmatic phenomenon, players take on the role of Rex Harper, a disgraced detective turned private investigator. Rex begins to encounter shadows that don't belong to anyone—mysterious silhouettes that seem to have minds of their own. As he navigates the city's underbelly, he must unravel the secrets of these shadows and their connection to a series of disappearances linked to an underground cult. While interacting with a cast of eccentric characters and piecing together clues through dialogue choices and urban exploration, players must confront their own psychological demons and determine what is real and what is a figment of the mind.
