Set in a surreal, shifting city where shadows possess a life of their own, you play as a down-on-their-luck private investigator named Sam Shade. Every night, the citizens of Nocturne find their shadows taking on bizarre personas, acting independently and causing mayhem. When the infamous Shadow Thief starts stealing these animated shadows, it's up to you to unravel the sinister plot behind the city's nocturnal phenomena.
