In a sprawling, eerie city where shadows have lives of their own, players take on the role of a private investigator named Sam, who suffers from a peculiar condition: wherever they go, a shadowy doppelgänger mimics their moves but seems to have its own motives. As Sam delves into the seedy underbelly of the city to solve the case of disappearing citizens, they must interact with a cast of suspicious characters and navigate through increasingly bizarre scenarios to uncover the shocking truth behind their shadow and its connection to a sinister organization known only as 'The Collective.'
