Set in a quirky metropolitan city where ancient artifacts exist among modern-day chaos, players step into the shoes of Max Jester, a failed magician turned relic appraiser. Sent to evaluate oddities brought in by eccentric collectors, each negotiation quickly spirals into a riddle-filled escapade filled with absurd characters, unexpected events, and shady deals. Players must unravel the backstories of amusing relics while dodging over-the-top rival appraisers, loony treasure hunters, and even time-warping anomalies. Using humor, quick wit, and clever choices, players interact and negotiate their way through thrilling scenarios, ultimately piecing together a grand conspiracy that threads through history, magic, and good old-fashioned trickery.
