Tasked with uncovering the true author of multiple conflicting prophecies—each more ludicrous than the last—Lirael must travel through enchanted forests, attend eccentric royal balls, and navigate a web of hilariously misguided characters. In each scenario, players make choices that prevent disastrous outcomes, with each wrong turn leading to wild, unpredictable scenarios.
