In a world where nightmares seep into reality, players take on the role of Lucid, a dream architect who can manipulate dreams but is also trapped in a shared nightmare with other dreamers. Each player must navigate increasingly bizarre and terrifying scenarios created by the dreams of others, making decisions that impact not just their fate but also the fates of their fellow dreamers. The goal is to confront and overcome the personification of each player's deepest fears while trying to uncover who, or what, is the mastermind behind the nightmare.
