In a world where greetings dictate social status, players assume the role of Alex, a young social outcast with a talent for listening but a total inability to greet others properly. The story begins at a chaotic annual 'Hello Festival' that takes place in the eccentric town of Waverly. Throughout the game, players make choices on how to respond to various townfolk’s unique and quirky greetings, all while unraveling a deeper mystery behind the festival’s origins and its impact on their own social standing. With each wrong greeting, chaos ensues, and hilarity erupts as Alex must navigate misunderstandings, befriending odd characters, and setting things right in a town riddled with social faux pas.
