In a city split by economic divides and shrouded in secrets, players take on the role of an underappreciated sound engineer with the ability to manipulate and amplify echoes. One day, while recording during a storm, you accidentally capture an echo of a murder that has yet to take place. As you delve deeper into the eerie past and present of those involving the chilling sound, you begin receiving cryptic messages from the future through the echoes you discover. Players must explore various neighborhoods, interact with eccentric characters, gather clues, and solve puzzles using sound engineering mechanics, all while ensuring that they don’t fall victim to the danger their echoes reveal. Every choice you make echoes into the future, changing the narrative and leading to numerous branching endings.
