In a not-so-distant future, the remnants of society depend on a quirky yet outdated operating system, OpenVMS, which is under the threat of extinction. Players step into the shoes of Byte, a charming command-line interface who has gained sentience and must rally a ragtag group of digital rebels, including obsolete programs and quirky scripts, to face the menacing update policy of the Global Cyber Regime. As Byte navigates through digital wastelands, users will make choices that determine alliances, uncover lost tech knowledge, and hack their way through humorous and dramatic scenarios. Will Byte become the hero OpenVMS needs or will the system face obsolescence?
