The player is the captain of the Starship, the newest and most powerful rocket ever built. The mission is to traverse the galaxy while facing obstacles such as asteroid fields, hostile alien races, and ship malfunctions. The ultimate goal is to reach and colonize a habitable planet in a distant star system.
