In a world where shadows have lives of their own and can detach from their owners, you play as Max, a down-on-their-luck private investigator who suddenly finds themselves entangled in a web of conspiracy, betrayal, and dark humor. As shadows begin to go missing, clues intertwine with the shadows' personalities, leading Max through a mysterious city filled with quirky characters, each harboring secrets about their own shadow's past. Players will have to navigate moral dilemmas, forge alliances with both humans and shadows, and ultimately uncover the truth behind the phenomenon before their own shadow decides to ditch them for good.
