Protein Buddies

Protein Buddies is a puzzle-strategy game where the player takes on the role of a cell manager trying to clear misfolded proteins from the nucleus and cytoplasm. The player must use genetic manipulation, imaging, and biochemical approaches to coordinate the communication between the nucleus and cytoplasm to transport misfolded proteins to the garbage dump site, where they can be degraded. As the player progresses through the game, they uncover new pathways and develop new strategies to clear proteins more efficiently.
