In 'Nightmare Heist', players take on the role of Lucien, a skilled dream thief who pulls heists inside the subconscious of those who hold power in the waking world. Each mission takes place in vividly imaginative dreamscapes that twist reality and logic, mixing surreal elements with psychological puzzles. Players must navigate through bizarre landscapes while dealing with subconscious defenses that manifest as antagonists and obstacles. Along the way, players also encounter fragments of their own repressed memories, leading to an exploration of deeper themes of regret, fear, and identity, as they unravel who or what is pulling the strings behind their dreams. The ultimate goal is to steal powerful ideas or secrets, but there’s a catch: the deeper they delve, the more threatened they become by their own nightmares, forcing them to confront their fears in a race against time and sanity.
