Nightmare Chronicles: Whose Nightmare is It, Anyway?

In this interactive text-based game, you play as Sam, an unassuming office worker who discovers a mysterious book at a local thrift shop. Upon reading it, he unwittingly becomes trapped in a bizarre realm of nightmares that don’t just belong to him, but to various figures from folklore and classic literature. Throughout his journey, Sam must navigate through twisted dreamscapes, solve riddles posed by absurd, nightmarish characters, and ultimately confront other dreamers who share the nightmares. Each choice you make alters the narrative, leading to multiple endings, and the tone veers from eerie to absurdist humor. Can you unravel the threads of these nightmares to escape, or will you become just another character in someone else's tragic story?
