In 'Inkwell Intrigue,' players assume the role of a disgruntled author who discovers that their characters have come to life and are wreaking havoc in the literary world. Set in a whimsical yet perilous library full of untold stories, players must interact with various characters—from heroic protagonists to scheming antagonists—each with their own agendas. To regain control of their creations, players navigate a series of choices that alter the narrative, solve mysteries within the library's shelves, and confront their own creative insecurities while determining which characters to ally with and which to banish to the 'cutting room floor'.
