Deathly Gambit

Nathan Lockey, an avid collector of paper role-playing games, is stuck in a rut, until his childhood friend Jeff Woods, an agent of chaos, draws him into a real-life role-playing game based on the world of Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality. Nathan takes on the mantle of the Incarnation of Death and is tasked to maintain balance while battling various foes and solving diabolical puzzles. Throughout the game, Nathan must keep an eye out for Ninger the Finger, a secret agent of chaos who constantly introduces unexpected twists and turns that challenge Nathan's skills and decision-making abilities.
